ScAutio - The Interphone App for Motorcycle Riders

ScAutio is an app specifically designed for group communication between motorcyclists.

With ScAutio, you can chat with other bikers without distance limits, limits on the participants in the conversation, limits on the conversation channels.

ScAutio just needs a smartphone and a network connection.

ScAutio transforms a common smartphone into an advanced Walkie-Talkie. It supports group conversations up to hundreds of participants and is able to reconnect when the internet connection is lost. Furthermore, it is bidirectional, and therefore allows you to speak while listening.

ScAutio shows your adventure companions on the map: you can then make sure that the group is compact. But that is not all!

ScAutio can be controlled by your intercom (usually with the media play / pause button) and can use wired buttons (try a normal headset-microphone!) or bluetooth (like the generic shutter buttons) to activate voice communication, both in PTT mode (speak until pressed), both in toggle mode (press and speak, resume and close). No need for dedicated physical buttons or owners!

ScAutio allows you to request help from your travel companions with the SOS feature, which informs your companions through sound signals and voice prompts. In addition, your companions will be able to start driving directions to reach those who have requested help!

ScAutio allows you to talk while the app is in background and record your GPS track without the need for a network connection. You can also change the color of the track, export the track in KML or GPX, navigate the recorded track (this feature needs OsmAnd app)

ScAutio has an easy-to-use interface and protects data through SSL encryption. It works using 2G, 3G or WiFi networks, allowing conversation from any distance.

ScAutio guarantees high quality low-latency audio, because it uses state-of-the-art codecs. ScAutio integrates an efficient noise cancellation system. The quality and the band are configurable.

When connected via Wi-Fi, ScAutio uses the highest quality, to guarantee you a clear conversation as you have rarely experienced, because ScAutio uses a dedicated server.

ScAutio allows you, if registered, to create private channels with a password, has a text chat capable of reading text messages, and supports almost every Bluetooth intercom.
